In the Middle East, the Big Red Truck will take us from the world class rock climbing of Wadi Rum and Sinai, past the Pyramids and on through the Sahara desert to the secret sandstone of ancient Ethiopia. We travel on through Africa, one of the world's greatest cultural melting pots. A land of deserts and rainforests; beaches, glaciers and savannahs. A land of penguins and elephants, big cats and big rock. A truly ancient continent, home of the world's earliest known humans, Africa offers the warmest of welcomes whether we're visiting the bedouin or maasai, xhosa bushmen or samburu people. |

We travel from Mount Kenya to Table Mountain, Wehni, Ethiopia's prison mountain, to Namibia's Spitzkoppe and from well documented sport climbing in South Africa to obscure boulder fields throughout the continent. We will visit the very best climbing to be found throughout Northern, Eastern and Southern Africa - including many crags discovered by past Hot Rock expeditions. |
||
We aim to climb at least one day in 3, with at least one in 3 devoted to sightseeing and chilling out with the locals, and the remainder travelling from crag to crag and city to city. Join us any time from January 2010 to Christmas. Stages start from as little as 3 weeks and £450, or you could do the entire expedition for just £6500. Use the links on the right to navigate through the expedition, including the download pages. |
